Spinal Cord Stimulator
Spinal Cord Stimulator
Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) is an FDA-approved, minimally invasive therapy that delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain.
At Complete Pain Care of MD, we offer SCS trials for patients with chronic pain that has not responded adequately to conservative treatments, including medications, physical therapy, and prior procedures. Our board-certified pain management specialists evaluate each patient individually to determine whether SCS is an appropriate option.
FDA-Approved Indications for Spinal Cord Stimulation:
Failed Back Surgery Syndrome (FBSS) — persistent pain after lumbar or cervical spinal surgery
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy — chronic pain that has failed medication trials
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Types I and II
Phantom Limb Pain
